<p>Emotional safety signals are the subtle cues through which hotel guests may develop feelings of comfort, trust, reassurance, and ease within an unfamiliar environment. These signals can include staff greetings, tone of communication, environmental predictability, interpersonal interactions, physical surroundings, and the clarity of procedures. Drawing on concepts from emotional safety, environmental psychology, hospitality behavior, and the Mind Genomics perspective, this conceptual paper explores how guests may interpret emotional safety signals in different ways. Rather than presenting the results of a formal Mind Genomics experiment, the paper uses four AI-generated illustrative mindsets to examine alternative patterns of interpretation centered on warmth, predictability, personal recognition, and autonomy. These mindsets are not intended to represent fixed categories of guests, but rather to provide conceptual lenses through which emotional safety may be viewed. Building on these perspectives, the paper discusses a series of illustrative opportunities related to staff training, environmental design, personalization, autonomy-supportive systems, emotional safety audits, and nighttime guest experiences. The paper aims to encourage discussion about the diverse ways emotional safety may be experienced within hotel environments and how these differences may inform future hospitality practice, research, and service design.</p>
