<p>Natural disasters pose significant risks to communities, making disaster preparedness education essential for building resilience among students. This research examined the level of awareness and extent of disaster preparedness practices among 358 junior high school students in a public secondary school in Antique, Philippines. A quantitative descriptive-comparative and correlational research design was employed using a validated researcher-made questionnaire. The findings revealed that students exhibited a high level of disaster preparedness awareness and a great extent of preparedness practices before, during, and after disasters. Significant differences were observed across selected demographic variables, while a strong positive relationship was found between awareness and preparedness practices, indicating that greater awareness is associated with better preparedness behavior. The findings provide empirical support for the development of an Enhanced Disaster Preparedness Plan to strengthen disaster education and improve students’ resilience to natural hazards.</p>
