<p>Women’s empowerment has a profound impact on all facets of society and is a key indication of global growth. The study looks at whether education and economic independence empower women and postpone early marriage, taking into account the vulnerabilities encountered by Kashmiri girls in a society that is controlled by men. Data gathered from the Kashmir Valley shows that education increases knowledge about child care and family life, which encourages girls to put off marriage and successfully manage their social, familial, and personal lives. The marital age is rising as a result of changing sociocultural conditions and economic standing. Given their socioeconomic situation, many females choose to marry later in life, despite ongoing pressure from family advice and cultural attitudes. Marriage is a socially acceptable union that establishes the rights and obligations of both men and women and determines their legal and social standing. In India, girls are typically married young for a variety of reasons; in fact, almost half of Indian women were married by the time they were eighteen. Early marriage hinders girls’ social development and prevents them from pursuing an education in many civilisations. The economic aspect of marriage pushes parents to marry their daughters early in order to reduce family expectations and expenses, but the girl’s reliance on her. The empowerment of women signifies their capacity to take charge of their own lives and improve their prospects for success. Marriage is the first step towards their empowerment, as it determines the structure of their life and the age at which they begin their reproductive cycle. These days, a lot of ladies express reluctance to get married young. With the help of education and financial autonomy, they want to better themselves first and make sure they are ready to begin a new life.</p>
