<p>Emotions play a crucial role in the process of learning a foreign language wherein learning is an emotionally charged activity. In the absence of emotional engagement, learners are likely to experience boredom, resulting in minimal retention of knowledge. Moreover, emotions significantly affect learners’ motivation to apply what they have acquired. During the journey of learning a foreign language, emotional barriers may emerge, thus impeding the development of the learner. Such barriers can be exacerbated by feelings of anxiety and low self-esteem, which directly impact performance. By recognizing and addressing these emotional factors, educators can foster an environment conducive to improved student performance in various tasks. This paper initially provides a psychological overview of emotions and discusses their significance in the context of foreign language education. Subsequently, it proposes strategies that take emotional considerations into account to enhance classroom organization and activities.</p>
