New carapacial remains of the leatherback turtle Psephophorus polygonus from Groß Pampau, Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany, are described. The specimens originate from the Langenfeldian Stage of the northwestern European regional stratigraphic scheme, which was formerly assigned to the Upper Miocene but is now regarded as part of the Middle Miocene. The material is compared with previously described specimens from northern Germany and other localities in northern Europe, and its morphological affinities and taxonomic significance are discussed.
