Full Text

With the emergence of the latest sensor technologies, fast computer systems, useful artificial intelligence in healthcare, the processes of rapidly changing methods of healthcare for individuals and healthcare services began to be implemented. With increasing environmental pressure to use the latest advances in sensors and smart data mining, algorithms and processes are emerging that enable improved care and patient satisfaction while reducing costs, thereby enabling hospitals to become increasingly better in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, as well as prevention. All this increases their performance and competitiveness. With the exponential growth of computing power and artificial intelligence algorithms, a noticeable leap is seen in many areas of healthcare. Thus, we observe that artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming the main component of successful clinical practice. The purpose of the present review is to provide a general introduction and overview of AI in medicine with a special focus on future perspectives in surgery.
