Abstract

In life it turns out that we build and represent ourselves as human beings, but that construction or representation that we are achieving not only depends on what we consciously propose or seek, but it is affected by what surrounds us. It is That is to say, the path in self-representation has been largely determined by what has constituted the categorical base in which the human being is inserted, such is assumed in the case of women, object of reflection of this article. Lúcio Packter, Brazilian clinical philosopher defines the categorical basis as the set of categories that contextually situate subjective existence of a person according to current sociocultural patterns: “This base is made up of five categories: subject, circumstance, place, time and relationship; exploring them, the clinical philosopher forms a well-structured concept of the other person’s world” (Caderno A 13). And the The objective of using categories in clinical practice is to existentially locate the other: “Through Categorical Examinations, the philosopher will know the person’s language, his habits, his time, the socio-political context of the locality where he lives, its geography, its religious, historical, among other aspects that may be relevant” (Clinical Philosophy 22).
