Abstract

Introduction: It has been demonstrated that inflammatory processes play a leading role in many chronic diseases and that they are producers of endothelial dysfunction that cause the symptoms and signs of these diseases, determining their levels of morbidity and mortality in most of them. Its early detection and assessment will allow us to adequately control it. The Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Index has demonstrated its value as a prognostic factor for inflammatory processes, which is why it has been applied in patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Material and method: The sample was made up of all patients with PAD and underwent surgery, determining the N / L índex levels before and after surgery in 24 hours, 15 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, and 365 days.
