Abstract

This paper deals with the issue of energy consumption and climate change, their relationship with carbon dioxide, the Greenhouse Effect and Renewable Energy Sources and new trends in climate change reduction with new energy tools. A historical report introduces the initial view of the Greenhouse Effect, while data from the greenhouse gases and solar radiation prove the irrelevant connection of the accused gas with the accusations. In this paper are examined factors that contribute to the increase in ambient air temperature and their contribution to this increase is calculated. The operation of the most widespread renewable energy sources and their contribution to the increase of air temperature as well as to severe weather phenomena are examined. New electro and hydrogen- driven trends and their possible effects are examined. This paper responds substantially to the causes of climate change and asks questions about the policy pursued in this area, in order to solve the problem or reduce its effects. The purpose of this work is a documented critique to the actions taken to solve climate change, which is also documented by the technological failures of humanity that are known to us.
