Participacion Ciudadana y la Democracia
Our historical constitution of 1853/60 regulated a democracy representative or indirect, where the people elected their representatives and they were the ones who carried out the policies of the State. With the constitutional reform of 1994, our country incorporated another type of democracy to the existing one, the so-called participatory democracy, where the people participate directly, without representatives, in decision-making political decisions. And it develops it through the so-called initiatives and popular queries.
