DSAR Policy
Last updated: 02/February/2022
Global Journals® is committed to protecting personal data and respecting the rights of individuals whose data we process. This Data Subject Access Request (“DSAR”) Policy explains how individuals can exercise their data protection rights, including the right of access, under applicable data protection laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws in other jurisdictions.
This Policy should be read together with our main Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our CCPA & CPRA Privacy Policy for California residents.
By using the Global Journals® websites, platforms, and related services (the “Services”), you acknowledge that you have read and understood this DSAR Policy.
Purpose of this DSAR Policy

- Clarify what information we may provide and what limitations may apply
What is a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)

- Receive a copy of your personal data
- Obtain information on how we collect, use, share, store, and protect that data
Who can make a DSAR
You may make a DSAR to Global Journals® if:

- To receive information about the purposes, categories, recipients, retention periods, and legal bases for processing
- To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data about you
- To request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example where it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected
- Please note that in scholarly publishing we may have strong legitimate reasons or legal obligations to retain certain data, especially where it forms part of the permanent scholarly record (for example published articles, authorship information, peer review history).
- To request that we limit processing of your personal data in specific situations (for example while accuracy is being verified or where you have objected to processing)
- To object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing or processing based on legitimate interests, in specific circumstances
- To request a copy of certain personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine readable format where legally required, and to request that it be transmitted to another controller when technically feasible
- To request information and, in some cases, to object where your data is used in automated decision making that produces legal or similar significant effects about you
- In some jurisdictions, you may have additional rights (for example rights under CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, POPIA, or other regional laws). These will be respected where they apply.
