This research attempts to examine the relationship between insurance agents’ retention and leadership preferences. Furthermore, the mediating role of communication satisfaction on the relationship between leaders’ preferences and retentions is investigated in the present study. SPSS statistical software was used extensively throughout the research to test all the identified hypotheses. This research found that leader preferences are great predictors of retention and communication satisfaction is mediating the relationship between these two variables. The implications of these results for enhancing interpersonal communication satisfaction between leaders and agents are discussed.
