The atrioventricular (AV) node is crucial to conducting electrical impulses from the atria to the ventricles in order to coordinate heart rate. This study sought to describe electrophysiologic characteristic and possible anatomic site of atrial retrograde slow AV node pathway. The role of this pathway in the initiation and maintenance of AV node reentrant in the AV block still unclear, and the possible anatomic sites of this pathway have not been reported.
