Abstract

Earth has diverse and extreme environments so, for an organism to survive, it is vital that it is able to respond to changes in temperature, availability of food and even other organisms. For organisms to function properly, and adapt to these conditions, gene expression at the right time is essential. Gene expression is the process by which information in DNA is transferred to RNA molecules that create proteins for various functions. The control over the creation of proteins for a situation is essentially what gene expression and gene regulation is1.
