Efficacy of Bee Venom as an Anti-Viral Therapy for HCV Genotype 4
Use of traditional medicine is encouraged in many economically diverse countries when conventional medications fail. HCV prevalence is highest in Egypt at >10% of the general population, and China has the most people with HCV (29.8 million); approximately 52% of patients infected with HCV genotype 4 will develop chronic HCV. The use of interferon, currently the only approved therapy, is frustrating in many situations. Use of camel milk or drinking copious amounts of urine, moxibustion by fire, acupuncture and cupping, especially in the Saharan and Arabian areas, is currently popular in Egypt. Some traditional Egyptian medicine is related to Arabian, ancient Egyptian, or other religious beliefs. Most patients using traditional therapies show improvement over time in both clinical symptoms and laboratory results. Some showed SVR using Bee venom therapy.

Medical management and follow up of patients who have undergone bariatric surgery is a challenge opportunity due to post operative complications. Patients and Methods: We experienced 157 patients medical follow up ; 122 females (78.2%) and 34 males (21.8%) , who have undergone a new modified intestinal bypass (MIBP) surgery ; (Elbanna operation) as well as we evaluated Excessive weight loss (EWL), nutritional supplements, motility disorders, and fatty liver for consecutive 3 years after operation. Conclusion: MIBP surgery (Elbanna operation) solved the medical problem of nutritional deficiency post intestinal bariatric surgeries. Our concept changed from maldigestion and malabsorption to good digestion and selective absorption.

Neurologic symptoms, including circumoral paresthesias and weakness in the lower extremities, can occur later; occasionally a reversal of hot-cold taste sensation is reported. We have reported a case study of female child presenting with A Schizophrenia like attack just after fish ingestion, following the patients up for 30 months, the disease symptoms disappeared when patient was adherent to medications, relapsed when eating fish in a surprising character. In such an interesting case report, we shed light on the food born-neurological and psychiatric illness produced by eating fish.
