Belayneh Kefale holds a B.Pharm from Wollo University and an MSc from Addis Ababa University. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD at the University of Tasmania, focusing on optimizing anticoagulant therapy in hospitalized patients, particularly those with atrial fibrillation. With extensive experience in clinical pharmacy research, he has served as a clinical preceptor and lecturer at leading higher education institutions in Ethiopia. His research spans a wide range of areas, including therapeutic drug optimization and monitoring, pharmaceutical care, medication safety, and the therapeutic outcomes of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He is also deeply engaged in addressing challenges related to antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases, and pharmacoeconomics. Belayneh is passionate about bridging the gap between clinical research and real-world patient care, contributing to evidence-based pharmaceutical practices. His work has led to significant insights into optimizing drug therapy, enhancing patient safety, and improving healthcare outcomes. He has authored over 50 research articles and has made substantial contributions to advancing clinical pharmacy and healthcare policy.

Non Adherence and its Contributing Factors to Anti-TB Drug in Childrenas at Adama Referral Hospital, Oromia, Ethiopia
Objective: The objective of this study was to assess of factors affecting adherence of pediatric TB patients to anti TB drugs in Adama referral hospital. Methodology: Retrospective cross sectional study has been conducted from March 19th to May 20th, 2014 to assess factors affecting adherence of pediatrics TB patients to anti TB drugs in Adama referral hospital. Data collection format was used to collect data from available data sources such as patients’ medical cards and DOT registration book. Simple random sampling technique has been used in this research and data was presented in table and categorized and analyzed by using SPSS computer software package.
Assessment of Adequate use of Asthma Inhalational Medication Administration in Children in Gondar University Teaching Hospital, Northwest Ethiopia
Introduction: Asthma and other chronic airway diseases can be effectively treated by inhaler therapy. Inhaler therapy depends on appropriate use of the inhaler. For asthma, inhalation therapy is the foundation of treatment. Yet all too often, patients do not get the full value of their inhaled medications because they use their inhaler incorrectly. The objective of this study was to evaluate the knowledge among asthmatic children and their parents regarding asthma inhaler therapy and appropriateness of its use. Method: Cross-sectional study was conducted on assessment of adequate use of asthma inhalational medication in children. Results: Sixty one asthmatic children were involved in the study with a mean age of 4.67 + 3.69 years; 35 (57.4%) were males and 26 (42.6%) were females. Of 61 asthmatic children 44 (72.1%) were preschool children, 32 (52.5%) asthmatic children were living in a number of family 1-5, 28 (45.9%) were living in a family number of 5-10 and only 1 (1.6%) lived in a family number of >10. Nineteen (31.1%) asthmatic children had a family history of asthma.
