Visibility
At Global Journals®, we believe that publishing is only the first step. To create real impact, research must be visible, discoverable, and accessible, so that it reaches the right audiences and informs future work. We invest in multiple strategies to enhance the visibility of articles, authors, and journals.
Our Visibility Strategy
- Search Engine Optimization & Metadata Optimization
- We ensure that every article has rich metadata: structured titles, abstracts, keywords, funding statements, ORCID IDs, and subject classifications.
- We optimize article pages, journal home pages, and abstracts to be SEO-friendly so that search engines (e.g. Google Scholar) can index and surface content more effectively.
- Our site structure and content URLs are designed for crawlability and discoverability.
- Persistent Identifiers & Linking
- We assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published works to ensure persistent, global access and tracking.
- Research shows that presence of DOIs significantly supports inclusion and equation in the global scholarly network.
- We integrate with indexing and abstracting services, crossref, ORCID, and repository platforms to expand the reach and interlinking of publications.
- Open Access & Broad Access Policies
- Wherever possible, we make articles open access, removing paywalls to reach readers worldwide.
- Open access amplifies visibility, especially in regions or institutions without subscription access.
- We encourage authors to archive preprints, share postprints under permissible licenses, or deposit in institutional or subject repositories (while observing embargo / license policies).
- Social Media, Content Sharing & Promotion
- We actively promote published articles through social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, academic networks) and engage with scholars, societies, and media.
- Articles are equipped with social media sharing buttons / plugins so readers can easily share key findings.
- Studies suggest that journals with social media integration see higher engagement and visibility for their articles.
- Our editorial teams may coordinate highlights, infographics, visual abstracts, or summaries for shareable content.
- Media Relations & Science Communication
- We work with press offices, communications teams, and media partners to issue press releases for high-impact articles, newsworthy studies, or special collections.
- Under embargo policies, the media is given early access to finalized manuscripts with structured context, ensuring accurate coverage.
- Journal editors may engage directly in media interviews, podcasts, webinars, or public outreach, amplifying the visibility of authors’ work.
- Editorial Partnerships & Scholarly Networks
- We partner with research societies, conferences, institutions, and academic networks to cross-promote content and amplify reach.
- Special issues, thematic collections, or joint events help place articles in thematic “hot zones” of interest.
- Guest editors and editorial board members often promote their works through their networks, increasing visibility
- Article-Level Metrics & Tracking
- We provide article-level metrics (views, downloads, citations, altmetrics) so authors and readers can see how work is performing in real time.
- Libraries and editorial guides often note that such metrics increase visibility and trust in a journal’s content.
- Editors monitor performance to understand which topics or article formats get more traction and adjust outreach accordingly.
- Why Visibility Matters
- Even excellent research can go unnoticed without effective dissemination.
- Increased visibility leads to greater citations, wider uptake, policy influence, and real-world impact.
- Visibility helps authors build reputation, institutions showcase their work, and funders see tangible returns.
- For journals, improved visibility boosts submissions, impact metrics, institutional recognition, and sustainability.
