The Expansion Input a Output Tables

This paper is an attempt in order to present some variance of input-output expansion. The System of National Accounts with version 1968 and 1993 recommended on social accounting matrix, but until now some countries compiled SAM from supply and use tables and some other countries compiled SAM from input-output system. SAM seems to apply for CGE model but it is not meaning in SAM multipliers analysis. The parallel with ideas of social accounting system developed by Stone (1961), Pyatt and Roe (1977) is demographic-economic modeling was knew by Miyazawa’s concept. These ideas developed in order to describe the interrelation between income from production, income from redistribution, consumption, accumulation, it like as “no start and no the end” in Buddha theory.

This paper has attempted to compare some macro indicators of Vietnamese economy such as supply size, demand size, incremental capital – output ratio, (ICOR), total factor productivity (TFP), saving, output multipliers and import multipliers between two stages 2000- 2005 and 2006-2010.

Measuring the Effective Rate of Protection In Vietnamas Economy after Five Years Joining WTO (An Input-Output Analysis Approach)

This paper is the expansion and updating from researching of Bui and Kobayashi (2011), it was studied on the economic structure of the I-O table 2007 and supply and use tables, 2010 (SUT 2010 update), and the actual nominal tax rate for the years 2005-2011. By using effective rate of protection (ERP) concept, the study provides analysis of the current tariff structure in order to estimate the structural change of ERP by goods sectors, and the impact of trade barriers (through tariff) in the Vietnam’s economy. Economic indicators as ERP, OM (output multipliers) and BL (backward linkage) calculating from the I/O model are used to assess the effectiveness of industries. The recommendations on Vietnam trading policies are then suggested.

Electricity and the Economy

Producing and consuming electricity are strongly related to macro –economic such as growth, employment and price. However, this relationship in many circumstances, places, times are not in a direction. The relationship of processing electricity and the economy depends on the structure between production and consumption, the cost of structure of sectors in the economy, the use of electricity by the producer, the consumer and internal structure of electricity industry of each country in each time.
