Problems and Prospects for Girls Primary Education in the Char Area: An Observational Study of the school managing committee Members

In this study, data related to the physical activities of the primary elementary school of the area, teaching methods, use of educational materials, library, toilets, teacher-student boundary wall etc were collect. Data were collected through direct interviews with the respondents in the light of the questionnaire. The results are presented by applying different statistical methods in processing and analyzing the data collected for the study. Data were collected separately from schools of different grades (A and B). As a result, there is an opportunity to analyze the data of government primary schools in different grades of grades separately. In order to carry out the research work, eight government primary schools were selected out of 16 schools in different char area of Gangachara Upazila under Rangpur district administrative areas. Of them, 4 were selected from Lohani char, 3 from Binabina char and 1 from Mutukpur char. The data were collected from selected 8 government primary school teacher were selected 16 primary teachers by using snowball sampling technique. The results showed that the physical infrastructure of the government primary schools in the char area is underprivileged. No separate modern facilities for girl students have been added to government primary schools in the char area. The required number of female teachers was not recruited in the government primary schools in the char area. Not all the combined efforts and initiatives of primary education of girl students were seen in the government primary schools of the Char region. The government primary schools in the Char region have not yet been converted into a sanctuary for female students, considering the overall aspect.

Education is the way to live well in this vast workplace. Education exposes us to creativity, adapting to the surrounding world. Education is the key to development. The scope of education is very wide and broad. Very important in terms of education. Education is a human process that directs a person to the desired behavior in order to achieve a specific goal. Education is behind any civilization change. Education reaches the nation at its peak. And education is the mainstay of development of any country. And the basic premise of education is primary education. Different types and levels of education have been seen in the social system of Bangladesh since ancient times. One of these levels is the elementary education level. It is through this stage that a child begins to receive the most important education in his life. It is through this education that she gradually begins to grow as a child. In Bangladesh's education structure, primary education is divided into two levels. 1) Pre-primary education level 2) Primary education level. Pre-primary education has been organized to ensure the development of universal humanitarian scholarship and the necessary mental and physical preparation such as infinite curiosity, infinite curiosity, joy, and endless enthusiasm for the child to begin formal education for the child.

Land Use and Land Cover Change Detection of Ganakbari Mauja in Savar Upozila

The aim of this work is to study the changes in land use in the study area in manner that can aid quick and useful decisions for the purpose of land development, administration and planning for a sustainable environment. The main objective of the study is to analyze the land use changes in Ganakbari Mouza. This study has used mainly primary and secondary data. Stratified random sampling was used for primary data, and secondary information (data) was collected from various secondary sources. Findings revealed that in liner pattern of growth which is taking in haphazard manner. Irresponsibility of RAJUK and other related development authority is the main cause of this haphazard growth. Lack of land use policy, zoning regulation and other controlling rules and laws are also responsible for this uncontrolled and unplanned development. But as a potential area of development, Ganakbari may play an important role in whole region. It may also the role of an efficient and suitable satellite city for the megacity Dhaka. It is concluded that remote sensing and GIS tools provide an outstanding platform from which accurate information on Land use changes and patterns can be obtained and that Ganakbari area of Dhamsona union has experienced tremendous changes in land use, so efforts should be made to regularly update available data in order to control further development.

National Development Requires Womens Empowerment alongside Good Governance

The purpose of this paper is to examine the necessity of good governmence and women’s empowerment for national development of Bangladesh. The study finds that establishing women’s right on land and natural resources, fair wage, especially for women workers and women leadership and participation in decision making in every steps will be ensured alongside good governance and finally this will make sure the national development.

An Analysis of Health Situation of Women and Children at the Char of Gangachara Upazilla: A GIS based Case Study

Every year in Bangladesh substantial life of women and children are lost through various diseases. The study area of Gangachara is one of the monga-prone areas in Bangladesh. The river, Tista has a big influence on the livelihoods of the people of Gangachara. Healthcare situation in the chars is poor. But health is a basic requirement to improve the quality of life. Floods and erosion disrupted the lives of char dwellers. The victims of erosion lose their settlements, agricultural lands and employment and are forced to move elsewhere sometimes on a yearly basis. Bangladesh is still lagging behind in the field of environmental health. The Level of morbidity remains very high in Bangladesh. Much of the sickness, ill health and resultant deaths in this country are due the overall degradation of the environment. More than 80% population in Bangladesh live in rural areas and environmental problems are more acute in the rural areas of the country.

Knowledge of Floating Population on Fearfulness of HIV/AIDS: A Case Study of Three Metropolitan Cities in Bangladesh

This study has used mainly primary data and information collected from the survey of 300 floating population with the help of an interview schedule through quota-sampling technique has also been used in this study. To have performed the analysis Multiple Binary Logistic Regression Models along with as usual descriptive statistical tools and techniques have been applied in the study. The study revealed that 92 percent floating respondents had heard the name of HIV/AIDS but 52 percent floating respondents did not know the fearfulness of HIV/AIDS. TV (29%) was the most dominate source of hearing about HIV/AIDS. Respondents also knew that using condom during intercourse was only the safety way to avoid HIV/AIDS. It was expected that the result of this study will play a vital role to reassess the national population policy in line with the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Bangladesh and will help policy makers to formulate better policies in order to fight against the current situation. However, there was a real need for more and more studies on this regards. Thus, necessary action was to be taken to reduce the level of HIV/AIDS in the country in order to achieve better living conditions in future.
