Successful Management of Prematured Rupture of Membrane (PROM): A Case Report
Background: Preterm rupture of membrane during pregnancy can lead to having excessive illness as well as morbidity for the mother and the unborn baby. Identification and management may present several complications, particularly in low-resource centers. A higher level of doubt is crucial in making a timely diagnosis in these cases. Objectives: The study was to see if conservative management is a proper supervision procedure for premature rupture of membrane in preterm pregnancy. Materials and Methods: A twenty five year old primigravida patient of 28 weeks pregnancy was admitted to a tertiary care hospital in the city on the identification of preterm PROM. Results: The patient had a history of per vaginal watery discharge for 2 weeks. Perspeculum examination shows the liquor escaping out through the cervix, but the cervix was closed.USG of pregnancy profile showed viable single pregnancy of about 28 weeks. Conservative treatment was continued and at 32 weeks of pregnancy she complaint of severe lower abdominal pain, which was increasing in nature.
