Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a Tool in Revenue Generation and Tax Administration, A Study of Firs Abakaliki,Ebonyi State-Nigeria
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has opened a new visage to globalization in revenue generation and tax administration. The deployment and integration of ICT facilities into revenue generation and tax administration for internet access and a web portal implementation that enable the organizations in charge of revenue generation and tax administration in Nigeria;federal inland revenue service(FIRS) to carry out most of its activities ubiquitously on the internet is steadily growing in Nigeria. This has enabled many financial operations such as Pay-direct,E-tax,M-banking,E-banking,E-fiiling,E-assessment,E-auditing among others.In Nigeria,quite a large number of revenue generation and tax administration organizations in different state have either developed their portal or have had one deployed for the purpose of ICT-related operations.
A Review on the Significance of Implementing Blended Learning In Tertiary Institutions in Ebonyi State-Nigeria
E-libraries is also known and referred by various authors as either Virtual libraries orBlended learning can also be referred as E-learning, visual learning, distance learning, embedded learning or mobile learning. It has been popular since the 1980s, Pegler, C & Littlejohn (2007). E-learning has tremendous potential and promises for education. It allows people to seamlessly share information and learn widely and collaboratively. Blended learning is the integration of traditional face-to-face learning with technology, the internet, and distance learning. This approach is becoming pervasive in the education system in recent years. Blended learning is an effective way of teaching that is flexible and easy to access. Moreover, it can increase students’ motivation and their achievement, Kern & Rubin (2012). The usage of technology in teaching and learning is an undeniable need. Digital libraries. Our society is currently witnessing a quick and continues transformation powered by ICT revolution which has find its way in all other field of human endeavors. The use of information and communication technology (ICT) is becoming an integral part of education in all parts of the globe. Nigeria which Ebonyi is one among the 36 states is not left behind as ICT gradually finds its way into her educational systems regardless of persistent restrictions caused by our low economic status, the increasing numbers of E-libraries even in the young state like Ebonyi stands so encouraging.
