Dr. Regis Prabhaharan is a literary scholar affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, India. Holding BA, MA, MPhil, and CELTA qualifications, she is currently completing a PhD with a focus on attachment theory in the novels of Anne Tyler and Karen Kingsbury. Her published work explores the intricate design of parental love in Karen Kingsbury's _Oceans Apart_. With 8 publications, 19 citations, and an h-index of 2, her research combines literary analysis with psychological perspectives on human relationships.

The Thread of Parental Love as an Intricate Design in the Internal Working Model of the Select Characters in Karen Kingsburyas Novel Oceans Apart.
Oceans Apart discusses the story of a child countering the need of attachment with his parental caregivers. Kiahna and Connor had an illegal affair and the evident birth of a child did not hamper the child to create healthy loving attachment patterns. However it did create the urgency to seek his biological father after his mother’s death. This paper presents the story of Max’s internal working model in close connection to the lovely, intricate-interconnected motherly relationship.
