Bio

Jyoti Devidas Patil is a physicist and academic based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics, along with M.Sc., M.Phil, and B.Ed. degrees. She is affiliated with Pratibha Senior College and P D E Aas Baburaoji Gholap College, where she conducts research in areas such as diabetic retinopathy detection and retro cochlear pathology. Her published works include two papers on these topics, and she has also served as a reviewer for the Global Journal of Research in Engineering. With a record of nine international and one national publication, she continues to contribute to the field of physics and medical imaging.

Study of Retro Cochlear Pathology for Finding Hearing Ability using Tone Decay Test

Pure tone Audiometry (PTA)-Tone Decay Test is the key hearing test used to identify hearing threshold levels of an individual, enabling determination of the degree, type and configuration of a hearing loss. The test is used to indentify quickly screening for Retro Cochlear pathology. In audio logical investigations, the hearing sensitivity is tested for pure tones. The test tones of different frequencies and levels are generated and presented to the patient and hearing thresholds are determined on the basis of patient’s response. Thus in this work we described the auditory system and its disorders.

Optic Disc and Blood Vessels Screening in Diabetes Mellitus using Otsuas Method

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) has type-1 & type 2. So in diabeties type-2 is very severe disease which creates complications and effect on various part of body. Most sensitive part of body is Eye which is affected by DM responsible in progression of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). DR is a slowly effects on eye & come to focus when the changes on the retina have progressed to a level at which treatment turns complicate, so an early diagnosis and referral to an ophthalmologist or optometrist for the management of this disease can prevent 98% of severe visual loss. The aim of this work is to automatically identify Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), and Background Retinopathy using fundus images. Our results show a classification accuracy of 92%, with sensitivity and specifity of 95%.
