Dr. L. K. Pulasthi Dhananjaya Gunawardhana is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenapura in Sri Lanka, where he brings a rich blend of academic expertise and industry experience. He earned his PhD in Informatics from Malaysia University of Science and Technology, focusing on educational games and gamification, following an MSc in Digital Visual Effects from the University of Kent and a BSc in Information Technology from Middlesex University. His professional journey includes roles as Deputy General Manager – IT at Independent Television Network and as a Temporary Lecturer at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. Dr. Gunawardhana’s research delves into the psychology of digital games, computer-aided learning, and the broader impact of technology on education and behavior. He has authored and reviewed numerous papers in these domains, contributing to journals such as GJCST. With 16 publications, 75 citations, an h-index of 5, and an i10-index of 5, his work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing knowledge at the intersection of gaming, education, and computing.
