Dr. Manash Pratim Sarma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Assam down town University, Guwahati, India. He holds a PhD in virology and cancer biology, with a strong research focus on biomedical sciences, particularly infectious diseases and traditional medicinal plants. Dr. Sarma has authored numerous publications, including works on Helicobacter pylori eradication and phytochemical analysis of medicinal plants from Northeast India. With 58 publications, 391 citations, an h-index of 10, and an i10-index of 10, his contributions are well-recognized in the academic community. He also serves as a reviewer for several journals and has mentored multiple research scholars.

Helicobacter Pylori and Steps for its Elimination: A Review

The only host for H. pylori is human and it is found to be present in stomach, duodenum, oesophagus and rectum. H. pylorus is responsible for causing chronic infections and therefore its complete eradication from the society is very much essential. This article therefore aims to review the recent treatment options prevalent for the eradication of this dreadful disease.
