Green Banking Initiatives of Islamic Bank Bangladesh Limited
Bangladesh is suffering from immense social, political, economic and environmental issues and these issues need to be addressed for the overall development of this country. For minimizing the environmental effect on the country activities should be done in a sustainable manner. This paper presented green banking initiatives of Islamic Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) by analyzing the social responsibility of IBBL and environmental contribution to the economic development in Bangladesh. This study also identified the present condition of the bank regarding using solar energy, green banking culture and ecological balancing of different departments. In addition to that the author tried to identify some problems of IBBL for green banking and recommended some remedies to overcome those.
Credit Portfolio Management of Bangladesh Krishi Bank
The study specifies and estimates the necessity of credit portfolio management of Bangladesh Krishi Bank. Portfolio management of any banking institution involves both liabilities and asset management. Estimating deposit and loan liabilities need in most efficient manner is the central point of portfolio management in a bank. Through portfolio management of banks in Bangladesh is considered by a number of factors, the recent introduction of financial sector reform measures has injected an element of dynamism and necessitated the need for diversification of credit in the portfolio management of banks. This article is an attempt to describe the present credit portfolio management practice of Bangladesh Krishi Bank and provide some suggestions to overcome those problems associated with credit port folio management.
Problems and Prospects of Tourism in Bangladesh Bandarban District Case
Tourism is an emerging sector for Bangladesh. Tourism is one of the most growing industries all around the world. Bandarban is one of the district of bangladesh that is blessed with unparallel devine beauty. There are more than sixteen popular tourist spot at Bandarban in Bangladesh. In 2011, 1036 foreign tourist sand in 2012, 1205 foreign tourists came Bandarban to visit and enjoy its natural beauty. The aim of this paper to reveals the problems and prospects of tourism at Bandarban. The writer tried to highlight the special attractive tourist spots of Bandarban. These papers also find out some barriers of tourism at Bandarban and provide some suggestions to overcome those problems.
