Bio
Ch. Rupa is a distinguished researcher and academician based in India, currently serving as a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at VIT-AP University, Guntur. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Andhra University (2009), Dr. Rupa has built a prolific career spanning over a decade, previously holding a professorship at Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada (2014–2026). Her research expertise lies in information security, data encryption, and privacy-preserving technologies, with a focus on developing novel cryptographic schemes and AI-driven security solutions. She has authored over 140 publications, garnering more than 1,770 citations, and holds an h-index of 22 and an i10-index of 47. Dr. Rupa is an active member of IEEE and the Computer Society of India, and has led a significant SERB-DST-funded research project on encoding schemes for real-time systems. Her work includes pioneering contributions to chromatic series-based data security, pandemic disease detection using CNNs, and privacy-preserving vessel detection with optimized YOLOv7 and SHA-256. As a dedicated reviewer and mentor, she continues to advance the field of cybersecurity and data protection.
