Dr. Sangeeta Mohanty is an academic researcher and faculty member at the Academy of Business Administration in Balasore, India. With a strong foundation in Statistics (PG) and a Ph.D., her research interests span marketing, retailing, and banking. She has authored several impactful studies, including works on bank selection parameters, store ambience in modern retailing, and customer acceptability of ICICI Bank. Dr. Mohanty has also served as a reviewer for the Global Journal of Management and Business Research (GJMBR), contributing her expertise to the academic community. CREATING A DIFFERENCE a THE STORE AMBIENCE IN MODERN DAY RETAILING
The dawn of 21st century has been welcomed by a changing culture in India. It’s the change from the traditional retailing to the organized or modern retailing. Organized retailing is the buzz word in India in the 21st century. The Fact lies in the scope of the organized retail which forms only 4% of the total Indian retail market. India has miles to go but it will cover very briskly as per the various international studies. The overwhelming response towards the organized retailing by the youth bears testimony to it. The youth are to be considered just for the reason that the Indian population is a young population as approximately 60% of the total population is below 30 years of age. There are various reasons that have lead to the change in the shift from traditional to modern. One of them being the STORE AMBIENCE. The comfortable, happening, sophisticated calls the young mass. This article is an attempt to study the importance of a good store ambience in organized retailing.
ICICI Bank: A Multivariate Analysis of Customersa Acceptability
The explosive growth of the economy and the favorable demographic profile continue to drive consumption demand. This will lead to a market for a wide range of financial products and services for consumers. Many financial institutions have clearly embarked on the development of technology driven strategies, which will be translated in terms of customer preferences, and consequently, higher returns and market penetrations. New formats such as ATMs, telephone banking, e-banking can encourage customers to carry out more transactions. This increased usage can increase banks’ customer. New technologies have been emerged inorder to attract the customer as well as there is deadly competition among the private and the public banks to capture the market and the customer. Increasing competition is forcing the banks to pay much more attention to satisfy the customers. The existence of the bank is dependant on the customer’s acceptability only. This paper is intended to study ICICI Bank-thelargest private bank in India and the second largest in the entire banking sector, on the ground of customer’s acceptability.
