The purpose of this paper is to explore awareness of social entrepreneurship and to determine what is needed to create more graduate social entrepreneurs. Many colleges have begun to offer social entrepreneurship courses in order to increase the employability of recent graduates while providing students with entrepreneurial skills that are necessary when they enter the workforce. Social entrepreneurship in higher education can enable students build more networks with many social entrepreneurs as the university provides them platform for developing their skills and networks. Even, government encouraged that graduates engage in entrepreneurship activities in order to lower the unemployment rate. Although the body of knowledge in this topic has grown steadily, it still needs a critical evaluation to guide future researchers. The main aim of this paper is to present an outline of the current state of research on role of social entrepreneurship in higher educational institutions as well as the academic establishment of this area.
