This paper focusses on the regression testing (R/T) for the test case prioritization (TCP). An attempt had been put up over here to explore the investigations carried out, conclusions obtained and the future works planned for almost ninety research papers and to decide upon a tentative title for the future research work as a plan of action. For this, various prioritization techniques, algorithms, tools & metrics, strategies, softwares used, etc were combined/compared/collected in-order to come to the summarization and discussion on the TCP using RT.
