A Review on Microvascular Complications in Diabetes
Diabetes may be a chronic global health issue, that affects children’s and adult both, when insulin level or resistance to insulin action becomes insufficient to control systemic glucose levels. The number of available agents to manage diabetes continues to expand rapidly; the maintenance of euglycemia by individuals with diabetes remains a substantial challenge. Many patients with type 1 (it mostly affects children’s because it is a genetic disease) and type 2 (it is mostly affects adults) diabetes will ultimately experience diabetes complications. Diabetes can lead to many serious microvascular degenerative complications (e.g., retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy) resulting in an increased risk of morbidity and mortality and with this significant health care system costs.
