Mineral admixture is a key material component in high performance concrete. With the low water cement ratio, mineral admixture is of advantages: Increase later strength of concrete, reduce the hydration heat, enhance the compactness of concrete internal structure, improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and decrease carbon dioxide emissions, so as to achieve rational utilization of resource and energy conservation and emission reduction under the new situation, and meet the economic and environmental requirement. In recent years, high performance concrete has been applied and popularized in practical engineering, which shows the superiority of using mineral admixtures to replace cement, and summarizes the practical engineering experience.
