The United States regulates very closely the activity of military and private security companies and uses the specific and complex services provided by them to increase the military and operational capabilities of its own forces. These companies participate directly or indirectly in most military operations, both official and those that the government does not assume. This article analyzes the evolution and essence of the normative acts system that regulates the legal status of companies and their employees in the USA, in the light of specific examples and judicial practice.
