Abstract

The article is an attempt to analyze and examine the profitability performance of two selected private banks in India; HDFC bank and ICICI bank. The article also aims to draw a comparison between the profitability performances of these two banks in order to come up with clear understanding of new banking strategies. Mathematical and statistical tools and techniques such as Ratio, Trends, Simple & multiple correlations are used to analyze data. The most appropriate Parametric and Non parametric test are employed and the analysis of data is presented through different graphs and tables. The findings reveal that HDFC Bank is generating more profitability than ICICI bank.
