This article studies the social relations perpetrated by the participants of the Vila Rica revolt among themselves. In order to better understand these relationships, the text undertakes an analysis at both the micro and macro levels. About the micro level, the text focus on the role played by the individuals during the rebellion and, at the macro level the text focus on the changes in the government of the province. In terms of the methodology, the article is based in the social network analysis. In empirical terms, the article is bae in the research of all the power of attorney registered in the term of Vila do Carmo (district of Vila Rica, province of Minas Gerais) between 1712 and 1756. Finally, the article concludes by defending, among other points, the importance of the interdisciplinary dialogue between history and sociometry as a way to maximize the studies of social interactions by the actors involved in the revolt.
