Abstract

A marriage is proceeded and broken in Manju Kapur’s Custody. There is a fight for custody after divorce. By the early twentieth century, divorce cases become more common, and custody disputes simultaneously became an issue that affected many families. With the changing attitudes of the twenties, a woman’ s sexual conduct no longer prevented her from receiving custody for her children. The double standard on moral conduct of the parents was removed. The parents morality is questioned in the court.
