Bio

Silvia Filogna is a dedicated researcher and Knowledge Transfer Manager at the Fondazione Stella Maris (IRCCS) in Calambrone, Italy, where she currently leads scientific knowledge transfer initiatives. She earned her Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università Campus Bio-Medico in 2016. Silvia pursued her PhD at The BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pontedera from 2017 to 2021, focusing on bio-inspired robotics and movement analysis. Following her doctoral studies, she served as a Post-doc researcher at the Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale, Università di Pisa, from 2021 to 2023. Her research interests lie at the intersection of biomedical engineering, movement disorders, and technological innovation. Notably, she contributed to a pilot study titled 'Assessment of Postural Control in Children with Movement Disorders by Means of a New Technological Tool,' reflecting her commitment to developing novel diagnostic tools for pediatric movement disorders. With 29 publications, 167 citations, an h-index of 7, and an i10-index of 7, Silvia's work has made a meaningful impact in the fields of bioengineering and clinical neuroscience.
