These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of all Global Journals® websites, online platforms, systems, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Global Journals® is an international scholarly publisher affiliated with the Open Association of Research Societies (OARS) and aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Agreement to these Terms
1.1 By using the Services, creating an account, submitting a manuscript, acting as a reviewer or editor, or accessing content, you confirm that you:
- Have read and understood these Terms of Service
- Agree to comply with these Terms and all referenced policies
- Are capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction
2. Description of the Services
Global Journals® provides digital infrastructure and tools for scholarly publishing and related activities, including:
- Manuscript submission, tracking, and peer review systems
- Editorial and production workflows
- Online hosting of journals, articles, and related content
- User accounts for authors, reviewers, editors, and institutions
- Communication tools for journal related notices, calls for papers, and updates
3. User eligibility and roles
3.1 You may use the Services only if you:
- Are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, or have appropriate consent
- Use the Services for lawful, academic, research, educational, or professional purposes
- Comply with applicable laws, institutional rules, and these Terms
3.2 The Services are primarily intended for the following roles:
- Authors, co authors, and corresponding authors
- Reviewers and editors
- Editorial and advisory board members
- Librarians and institutional representatives
- Researchers, students, and other academic or professional users
3.3 Global Journals® may at its discretion restrict, prioritize, or customize features and access based on your role, journal, subscription status, or institutional agreement.
4. Accounts, security, and credentials
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your account information updated
- Maintain the confidentiality of your username and password
- Notify Global Journals® promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach
4.2 You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Global Journals® is not liable for losses arising from your failure to protect your credentials.
5. User conduct and acceptable use
5.1 Your use of the Services is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
5.2 Without limiting that Policy, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Engage in harassment, abuse, discrimination, or other inappropriate behavior toward any user or staff
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security, authentication, or access controls
- Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Misuse the Services to scrape, harvest, or systematically download large amounts of content beyond what is reasonably required for individual academic use
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation or performance of the Services
5.3 Global Journals® may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suspend access, or take other actions consistent with its policies and legal obligations.
6. Submitted content and user responsibilities
- You have the necessary rights, permissions, and approvals to submit the Submitted Content
- The Submitted Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, database right, trade secret, or other intellectual property or privacy right
- The Submitted Content complies with applicable laws, research ethics standards, and institutional or funder requirements
- All statements, data, and claims in the Submitted Content are accurate to the best of your knowledge and are not intentionally misleading
6.2 You acknowledge that:
- Submitted Content may be processed, reviewed, and stored in editorial management systems operated by Global Journals® or trusted third party providers
- Peer review and editorial deliberations may be confidential and governed by ethical guidelines
- Global Journals® may reject, revise, or request changes to Submitted Content in line with editorial policies
7. License and rights in Submitted Content
7.1 The rights you grant to Global Journals® in Submitted Content are defined by the author agreement, copyright transfer agreement, or license you accept at the time of submission or acceptance, which may include:
- Transfer of copyright to Global Journals®
- A license to publish, host, and distribute the work
- Open access licenses, such as Creative Commons, with specific reuse terms
8. Access to published content
8.1 Access rights to published content may depend on the journal model, license, and any applicable subscription or open access terms.
8.2 Subject to applicable licenses and these Terms:
- You may read, download, and use content for personal, academic, teaching, or internal institutional purposes
- You must respect the copyright notice and any license associated with each article, including any restrictions on redistribution and commercial use
- Systematically download or redistribute large portions of content
- Use automated tools to harvest content for commercial or large scale distribution
- Remove or alter notices of copyright or attribution
9. Third party services and integrations
9.1 The Services may interact with or link to third party platforms, including:
- Editorial management systems
- Payment gateways
- Analytics and indexing services
- External article repositories or archives
- Social media or sharing tools
9.2 Global Journals® does not control third party services and is not responsible for:
- Their availability, performance, or security
- Their terms of use, privacy practices, or content
9.3 Your use of third party services is subject to the terms and policies of those third parties. You are encouraged to review them separately.
10. Privacy and data protection
10.1 Global Journals® processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA / CPRA where relevant.
10.2 By using the Services, you acknowledge that:
- Your personal data may be collected and used for purposes such as manuscript processing, peer review, communication, analytics, and journal management
- Your data may be shared with service providers, editorial partners, and institutions as described in the Privacy Policy
- Your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards where required
10.3 You can find detailed information about your rights and how to exercise them in the Privacy Policy, GDPR Policy, CCPA and CPRA Policy, and DSAR Policy.
11. Intellectual property
11.1 Except for Submitted Content governed by specific author agreements, the Services and all associated content, including design, layout, logos, trademarks, and software, are owned by or licensed to Global Journals® and protected by intellectual property laws.
11.2 You may not:
- Copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works from the Services or underlying code
- Use Global Journals® trademarks, logos, or branding without explicit written permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law
12. Disclaimers
12.1 The Services and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
12.2 Global Journals® does not guarantee that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free
- Content will be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for any particular purpose
- Defects or issues will be corrected within a given time frame
12.3 Published content is provided for academic and informational purposes. It does not constitute medical, legal, financial, engineering, or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for consultation with qualified experts.
12.4 Additional important statements about limitations of responsibility are set out in the Disclaimer Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.
13. Limitation of liability
13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Global Journals® and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, editors, reviewers, licensors, and service providers are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings
- Business interruption or loss of programs or information
arising from or in connection with:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to use, the Services
- Any content available through the Services
- Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data or transmissions
13.2 If applicable law does not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities, Global Journals® liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted and, where required, may be limited to the amount you have paid directly to Global Journals® for the relevant Service during a specified period.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Global Journals® and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, editors, reviewers, licensors, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your violation of these Terms of Service or any referenced policy
- Your misuse of the Services or content
- Your Submitted Content or any infringement or alleged infringement of third party rights arising from your actions
15. Suspension and termination of access
15.1 Global Journals® may suspend or terminate your access to some or all Services at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms or other applicable policies
- Your account is compromised, misused, or inactive for a prolonged period
- We are required to do so by law, regulation, or court order
- We discontinue or materially modify the Services
15.2 Termination will not affect rights already granted in relation to published content or any obligations that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnity provisions.
16. Changes to these Terms of Service
16.1 Global Journals® may update or modify these Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect:
- Changes in the Services or business operations
- Updates to laws or regulatory guidance
- Evolving industry standards and best practices
16.2 When changes are material, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice, such as on our websites or by email.
16.3 Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
17.1 These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of:
“the laws of Indore, M.P., India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.”
17.2 You and Global Journals® agree that, subject to any mandatory local rights, disputes will be subject to the exclusive or non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of:
“the courts of Indore, M.P., India”
Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under mandatory laws in your country of residence that cannot be excluded by contract.
18. General provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms of Service, together with the policies and specific agreements referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and Global Journals® regarding the use of the Services.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver: Failure or delay by Global Journals® to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Global Journals® may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.
