Bio

Dr. Patrick Nkemakonam Dikedi is a physicist and researcher affiliated with Kingas College, London and the University of Abuja, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., MRes, and is a member of the Institute of Physics (MINstp) and Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS). Dr. Dikedi's research spans X-ray physics, including the simulation and design of rotating X-ray windows for multilayer probing of cells and microfocussing techniques. He has also contributed to hydrogeology through geo-electric probing for groundwater in Giri, Nigeria, and to fluorescence microscopy and imaging. With five published papers, he serves as a reviewer for the Global Journal of Science Frontier Research (GJSFR). Based in Abuja, Nigeria, Dr. Dikedi continues to advance optical and plasma physics, astronomy, and space science.

Rotating X-Ray Window for Multilayer Probing of Cells; Microfocussing Techniques

This project report covers soft X-ray generation of the X-ray microprobe and advances made at the Gray Cancer Institute. Schematics and benefits of the microprobe are presented and microfocussing techniques specifically for enhanced spatial image resolution of cellular structures are considered.
