The Impact of Credit Risk Management on the Performance of Commercial Banks in Cameroon. Case Study of BICEC Cameroon

The study is based on finding out the impact of credit risk management on the performance of commercial banks with specific objectives of evaluating loan assessment techniques used by banks and finding out various risk management tools used to manage credit risk. In order to verify it, secondary data were used to carry out ratio analyses and trend analyses which were then correlated to the percentages changes in profits. The findings of the study indicated that the Non- Performing loans (NPL) to total loans ratio which is one of the risk management indicators is a major predicator and is significantly related to bank financial performance, followed by the loan to total deposit ratio and loans to total assets ratios that have an inverse impact on financial performance of banks.

A Study of the Role of Human Resource Functions in Talent Development Contributing to an Organization’s Business Growth in Today’s Knowledge and Innovation based Economy. Case Study – BICEC Cameroon

This report aims at analysing the role of Human Resource functions in talent development contributing to an organization’s business growth in today’s knowledge and innovation based economy. For this purpose to be fully satisfied, the report focused on the following three human resource functions: selection, training and development, and job design and analysis which were then linked to talent management processes to analyse and evaluate their respective degree of significance vis-à-vis the company’s business growth. In order to provide practical examples and illustrations, the Cameroonian leading commercial bank, BICEC (International Bank of Cameroon for Savings and Credit) was designated as the report main case study together with other examples from other European companies as well. The results of the paper indicated that if company HR strategies (Selection, training and development, and job analysis and design) are in line with its talent management programme, it definitely impacts significantly on the company’s performance and growth.
