Investigating the Relationship between Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty in Hotel Industry: Bangladesh Perspective
This paper attempts to reveal the relationship between service quality, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty of the hotel sector in Bangladesh. A total of one hundred native and international tourists are selected for this study. The self-employed form survey was used to gather information from the respondents by using SERVQUAL model. Data has been analyzed by using SPSS version-22. The relationship between the variables was studied by applying Pearson Correlation analysis. Results indicate that a significant relationship exist between service quality attributes and customer satisfaction. Results conjointly discovered that service quality results in satisfying customers and customers’ satisfaction results in customer loyalty. Hotel managers should offer better services to their customers for gaining competitive advantage, and it will facilitate them to guide the market with efficiency.
Elixir of the Service Quality of Islamic Banking Sector in Bangladesh
Islamic Banking Sector (IBS) is the most influential domain in the economic development of Bangladesh. In the 21st century, IBS has passed thirty years glorious journey creating huge competition considering its service quality and achieved a remarkable growth. Service Quality (SQ) is the most significant affecting factor for remarkable growth of IBS in Bangladesh from 1983 to 2013. Thus, this research work attempts to determine the elixir of the service quality of Islamic Banks existed in Bangladesh as Islamic Banking Sector using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). This research uses modified CARTER model (Compliance of Islamic Shariah, Reliability, Assurance, Tangibility, Empathy and Responsiveness) consisting of 34 (thirty four) dimensions with 6 (six) constructs. A total of 396 samples have been used from 6 (six) full pledged Islamic banks in Bangladesh. This study reveals that 20 (twenty) factors have found as the elixir of service quality of Islamic banks in Bangladesh where assurance is the most significant construct followed by reliability, tangibility, empathy, responsiveness and tensely compliance of Islamic Shariah.
Contribution of Riba-Free Banking System on Rural Development in Bangladesh: A Projection for Vision-21
Ribe-Free Banking System (RFBS) is the most economic domain in the micro-finance area for the rural development as well as the economic development of Bangladesh. Rural development Scheme (RDS), the specialized form of Banking operations of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL), is offered for those people who live below the poverty and absolute poverty level in Bangladesh. The basic aim of this study is to examine the impact of RDS of IBBL on National GDP through rural development. The RDS of IBBL is the project sample of this study. The annual time-series data from FY 2002-2003 to FY 2013-2014 are used in this study for justifying the rural development through identifying the impact on GDP. This study has found that deposit and investment of RDS of IBBL have strong and significant impact on national GDP. The findings of the study will be helpful for the economic policy makers of the concerned authority of Bangladesh in reshaping the economic activities aiming at achieving the goal stated for the Vision-21, the golden jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh.
