Unveiling the Therapeutic Potential of Clitoria guianensis (Aubl.) Benth var. Guianensis: A Comprehensive Review of its Anti -Inflammatory and wound healing properties

Introduction: This article proposes a comprehensive systematic review to analyze the potential of Clitoria guianensis as an anti-inflammatory and wound healing agent. The emphasis on diversifying research methods aims to deepen understanding of its medicinal properties, especially in the context of anti-inflammatory and wound healing activities. The plant, belonging to the genus Clitoria and native to Brazil, is recognized for its aphrodisiac properties and is used as a sexual stimulant, tonic, and energizer. Studies highlight the presence of bioactive compounds, such as isoflavones, which contribute to its medicinal properties. Methodology: The study was based on the Systematic Literature Review Protocol (SLRP), establishing a framework for comprehensively reviewing scientific literature. The objective was to identify the medicinal properties of C. guianensis in Brazil, focusing on its potential anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties. Results: The results of this scientific review aim to substantiate the consideration of C. guianensis as a potentially beneficial plant in tissue regeneration processes. Although not directly addressing wound healing, it is suggested that its antiinflammatory properties and modulation of the immune response may positively influence these processes. Discussion: Systematic analysis provides a critical and comprehensive insight into the medicinal properties of C. guianensis, contributing to the understanding of its antiinflammatory and wound healing potential. A diversified approach, integrating in vivo, in vitro, and in silico data, is essential for understanding its potential in clinical practice. Conclusion: This study, by conducting a systematic review of scientific literature, explored evidence related to the antiinflammatory and wound healing potential of C. guianensis. Practical implications confirm the medicinal and pharmacochemical properties of this medicinal plant, revealing its chemical and therapeutic richness, and highlighting the importance of further studies. Thus, this work establishes a solid foundation for future research, advancing the understanding and therapeutic application of C. guianensis in medicine.

Overview of Brazilian Higher Education: The Perspective of the Civil Engineering Program

This scientific article proposes an enhanced analysis of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Brazil, focusing on Public HEIs (Federal, State, and Municipal) and Private HEIs (Community-based, Confessional, Philanthropic, and forprofit). The adopted approach stems from a meticulous historical analysis of face-to-face Civil Engineering courses, considering the various intermediary regions in Brazil. The study is based on data from the National Higher Education Assessment System (SINAES), the Higher Education Census, as well as demographic and territorial data provided by IBGE, and information from CONFEA. The theoretical framework of this article is grounded in the essential concepts of Brazilian Higher Education, Higher Education Institutions, the National Higher Education Assessment System, Civil Engineering Courses, and the Civil Construction Industry. A relevant factor incorporated into this analysis is the impact of territory, encompassing not only physical and environmental characteristics but also cultural and infrastructural issues. The adopted methodology assumes a quantitative approach, establishing itself as the methodological technique for data collection and basic research to obtain and present indicators after the appropriate treatment of information. The results expose the current panorama of face-to-face Civil Engineering courses, emphasizing the analysis of intermediary regions with lower Human Development Index (HDI), which have at least one active course. The situation of intermediary regions devoid of any active course is highlighted, suggesting signs of educational scarcity in these locations. Finally, the article discusses the development stages of the PanoramaEDU website and presents concluding remarks, consolidating the main insights and contributions provided by the research.

Overview of Brazilian Malaria Incidence from Environmental, Economic and Spatial Factors in Amazon and Extra Amazon Region

Malaria is caused by the protozoan Plasmodium and its infection can occur in several ways, being the most common through the bite of the female mosquito Anopheles darling. The life cycle of the vector is related to the dynamics of the ecosystem that lives, situations such as global warming generate a great concern regarding the possible amplification of the reproduction capacity of vectors according to climate change. These diseases are much more frequent in regions where the climate is tropical, such as Brazil. The incidence of the vector is characterized by several factors, such as biological, ecological, sociopolitical, cultural, and economic factors, the latter influence health expenditures in Brazil regarding the preventive measures of infection.

Young Adult Lifestyle and Cardiovascular Risk

Introduction: Lifestyle directly influences cardiovascular health; therefore, encouraging young people to adopt healthy habits through physical activity, dietary re-education, and non-use of tobacco can prevent the emergence of these diseases. Objectives: To evaluate the factors that predispose the cardiovascular health of young adults to risks, making a correlation with lifestyle. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. Some data were collected, such as blood pressure, muscle strength, total and fractionated cholesterol, blood glucose, anthropometric measurements, bioimpedance, heart rate, double product recovery after exercise test, and lifestyle. Results: There were 52 participants, and only 31 completed all assessments. The mean age was 42.5±6.1 years. The majority were female; there were six hypertensive patients, two with isolated systolic hypertension, and four had high blood glucose; all recovered their heart rate and the double product at the end of the fifth minute after exercise. The cardiovascular risk measured by the Framingham score was moderate at 12% and severe for 9% of participants; the rest were classified as low risk. The Framingham score was associated with lifestyle (r-043). Cardiovascular risk was significantly increased for those participants who declared living in a stressful environment (p=0.03), for smokers (p=0.003), for males p=0.0006, for sedentary people (p=0.003). Conclusion: Severe and moderate cardiovascular risk was found for 22% of the sample. Male sex, smoking, sedentary lifestyle and living in a stressful environment were the main cardiovascular risk factors found.
