Narrowness and Smallness of the Dimensions of Humble Housing in Eighteenth Century Burgos

Thanks to the detailled eritings of several memoriales –Respuestas Particulares– , in the elaboration od the Catastro del Marqués de la Ensenada, we have the dimensions of several of the rooms of the houses of Burgos in the mid-eighteenth century. In addition, we have a global reconstruction of the size of the properties of this Castilian city. Although they are mostly limited to the less fortunate socio-professional categories, and with reduced income and fortune levels, it is , in practice, an approach to the ways of living in the houses of the Old Regime.
