This work presents an analytical approach to the story “Historia de Mariquita” by the Mexican writer Guadalupe Dueñas, the aim is to demonstrate the monstrosity of the difference observed in it, starting from the traditional subversion of Judeo-Christian funerary rituals, concretely the burial.
