In this paper, the performance of a single-input-multiple-output (SIMO) scheme is analyzed under Rayleigh and Rician fading channel using Maximal-Ratio Combining (MRC) and Equal Gain Combining (EGC). In this scheme, a single transmit antenna, which maximizes the total received signal power at the receiver is used and number of received antenna is varied to analyze performance. The Bit Error rate(BER) using two combining techniques under fading channels is derived for BPSK, QPSK and 16-QAM.
