Abstract

Release management is the process of determining, acquiring, releasing and deploying changes into an Information Technology (IT) environment. The Service Delivery management strategy provides support to the Service Support process and ensures that the required services are delivered to the customer on time. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a framework available in the form of documentation that defines the best-practices and approaches to manage IT services. This paper describes how to release a change into the IT environment using ITIL.
