Though by the end of 20th century, eclampsia has become almost unknown to obstetrician in the developed countries. It is still remains an important factor of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality in the developing countries like India. Eclampsia is the onset of seizures (convulsions) in a woman with pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is a disorder of pregnancy in which there is high blood pressure and either large amounts of protein in the urine or other organ dysfunction, Onset may be before, during, or after delivery. Most often it is during the second half of pregnancy. The seizures are of the tonic–clonic type and typically last about a minute. Following the seizure there is typically either a period of confusion or coma. Pre-eclampsia is estimated to affect about 5% of deliveries while eclampsia affects about 1.4% of deliveries. In the developed world rates are about 1 in 2,000 deliveries due to improved medical care. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are one of the most common causes of death in pregnancy.
This paper proposed an explorative scaling approach to predict the fitness of OHE provided on railway cross-over tracks whether the state is strayed or normal in order to allow the train to cross from one track to other in electrified section. An explorative scale is defined to assess the given maintenance log report of a cross over is indicating any obstacle or not. In order to define this scale, the model depends on the previous log reports that are labeled as true or false towards the cross over staidness, which is done according to the observed functional obstacles. The experiments were done on the real time data collected from Secundrabad division of South Central Railway, India. The labeled data is used in the ratio of 70, 30 for scale definition and performance analysis respectively.
This paper presents the design and fabrication of an incinerator meant to thermally treat (i.e. combust) domestic waste for the purpose of reducing its volume and destroying hazardous substances or pathogens present in the waste. A step grate package incinerator with a capacity of 100 kg/day was designed and constructed to combust domestic solid waste which otherwise cannot be economically recycled. The mass balance of the equipment was done to determine the amount of combustion air needed to completely burn the waste; likewise the heat balance was done to determine if an auxiliary burner would be needed. The performance test carried out on the waste – plastic, paper, rubber, leather, textile, wood and garbage – reveal a percentage decrease in volume between 78% – 95%.
The purpose of this article is to review the recent trends related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial reporting standards. The researcher presents four CSR background theories to evaluate the importance of sustainability in the financial reporting arena. The Big Four accounting firms are promoting the importance of adopting CSR in financial statements. Scholars and practitioners acknowledge that there is an existing relationship between corporate governance and CSR. The 7Ps presented in the study served as guidance for developing a sustainable and adequate CSR financial reporting system. The three pillars that support sustainability are environmental, social, and economic. It is expected that in the future the triple bottom line theory (TBL) will be known as integrated report (IR). Evidently, the adoption of corporate responsibility in financial statements has the ability to increase the amount of relevant information provided to shareholders and stock exchange markets around the world.
Greek Tragedies are uniquely suited to serve as stimuli for intellectual thought and cultural reflection. This essay examines THE BACCHAE in an effort to understand how traditional ways of thinking are challenged. Dichotomous social boundaries are explored in an effort to shed light on the challenges and benefits associated with progressive social change. Ultimately, reflecting on THE BACCHAE allows us to improve the understanding of ourselves and humanity.
Renal cysts, in general, may be classified as “simple” or “complex”. “Simple” cysts are best defined using sonographic criteria. The difficulty arises when cystsdo not meet the rigid characteristics of the “simple” definition. Therefore, clinicians need to rely on a rapid, safe and accurate system to identify benign versus malignant masses and ultimately have the guidance on nonsurgical or surgical treatment options. Malignant renal cyst is a very rare disease. In literature are prescribed as 0.5-1% of all renal cysts (1, 2). Their clinical symptoms are not specific and are mainly similar to the symptomatology of tumors and simple renal cysts (3, 8). Pre operative diagnostics procedure as intravenous urography -IVU, ultrasonic sonography, computed tomography-CT, magnetic resonance imaging -MRI, diagnostic punction of cysts and renal arteriography can rare determine the diagnosis (4, 5). The diagnosis based on Bosniak classification: Bosniak 1, Bosniak 2, Bosniak 2F, Bosniak 3 and Bosniak 4. Therefore the diagnosis is mostly determined by surgical intervention (6, 7). In this study, the authors have presented their case of hemorrhagic malignant renal cyst, which is treated by surgical intervention - nephrectomy.
With the growth of technology and continuous rapid improvement in this field, the digital content took an important role in this current era of time. Online transactions keep growing in many parts of the world. As a result it becomes the prime target for hackers and intruders. Consequently security of data has become a critical issue for experts. In this paper a robust algorithm is proposed in watermarking image to secure the digital data. The proposed algorithm is based on SVDDWT with Harr Wavelet Transform (HWT) for embedding and extracting a digital watermark in an image. The experimental result shows that this technique is robust against few attacks like Gaussian, average and JPEG compression.
This study is about the determination of the fluxional relationship between Internally Generated Revenue and the cost of collection in Cross River State with a view to proffering cost minimization measures. The research is focused on the possibility of finding an optimum level of collection in an era when all tiers of government have been forced by circumstances of the dwindling fortunes of the Federation Account to look inwards for a sustainable model of fiscal operation. Secondary data was obtained from the Cross River State Board of Internal Revenue, the State Budget Department and Ministry of Finance. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the trend and relationship between Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and collection cost in Cross River State. Trend analysis was also used to find if the increase in collection cost resulted to corresponding increase in revenue.
The Japanese government has expressed that Japan intends to become a “hydrogen society” where homes and fuel-cell cars are powered by hydrogen, which is regarded as the CO2 emissions-free energy source, and has laid out plans for a “hydrogen highway” peppered with fueling stations, all in time for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics [1]. And also, a remarkable development of Fuel-Cell Vehicles (FCVs) has been achieved; for instance, Toyota’s FCV, “Mirai," which launched in 2014 after two decades of tireless research, recently rolled out in the US and Europe. This situation may give many people an impression that a “hydrogen society” will come true in the near future. But is this really true? In fact, there are so many difficulties to overcome before a “hydrogen society” is realized.
The threshold breakdown of the through holes by power laser radiation of metallic foils is considered as response of metallic system to laser radiation. Binding experimentally determined response to the absolute temperature scale allows one to determine the value of the imaginary part of the generalized susceptibility depending on temperature, the critical temperature of the transition "liquid metal - gas", states of the electronic subsystems at this temperature, and the reflectivity coefficient values.
