Over the decades when major reforms and policies were introduced the manufacturing sector could not keep up compared to the countries with similar development/growth phase and size. National manufacturing policy aims at enhancing the share of manufacturing in GDP to 25 % within a decade and creating 100 million jobs. The government has made efforts to provide favorable by simplification, rationalization and digitization of process. In this regard, ‘Make in India’ initiative is aimed at encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship and making India the manufacturing hub of the world. This article takes a look at what has been done so far and what more needs to be done to give much needed force to the manufacturing sector. Secondary data has been utilized taken from various sources to advocate the views expressed in this article.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the short-term result of local corticosteroid injections in the treatment of idiopathic trigger finger between previously reported proper amount of soluble and insoluble steroids; dexamethasone sodium phosphate and triamcinolone acetonide, and also aimed to compare these results with that of the patients who did not undergo the corticosteroid injection as control group. Methods: Fifty-six patients (16 men and 40 women; age, 38–79 years; mean age, 60.0 ± 8.8 years) who initially diagnosed with idiopathic trigger finger in our clinic were assigned to watchful waiting, local injection of triamcinolone acetonide (insoluble preparation), or that of dexamethasone sodium phosphate (soluble preparation). The examined digits included 30 thumbs and 1 index, 17 middle, and 8 ring fingers. All patients scored the visual analogue scale (VAS), and were graded according to clinical findings at the timing of initial diagnosis and four weeks following the diagnosis. Statistical analyses focused on the difference of the VAS score and clinical grades between initial and the 4-week evaluation in each treatment group, and also on the comparison of these difference among treatment groups. Results: Whereas the VAS score significantly improved in two injection groups, a significant difference in the improvement of the VAS score and clinical grade was revealed between the group of triamcinolone acetonide and other two groups. We could not find any advantages in the injection of dexamethasone sodium phosphate comparing with watchful waiting. Conclusions: The injection of triamcinolone acetonide in idiopathic trigger finger had better short-term outcome when comparing with the injection of dexamethasone sodium phosphate and watchful waiting.
The conclusion about the absence in them of the mathematical means of the adequate description of passage from one inertial reference system to another because of the use by them of particular derived field functions on the time, which completely tie electrodynamic process to one concrete frame of reference, is made on the basis of the critical analysis of extraction from the equations of the electrodynamics of ideas about the space and period. Is proposed new approach to the development of the mathematical apparatus for electrodynamics in the direction of the more adequate description of passage from one inertial reference system to another due to the introduction into the examination of the trans-coordinate equations, which use new Galilean and trans-coordinate derivatives of field functions. This generalization of electrodynamics assumes the dependence of electromagnetic field and electric charge on the speed of the motion of observer, caused not by the geometry of space-time, but by physical nature of the very field within the framework of gipercontinual ideas about the space and the time. Is obtained the new trans-coordinate formulation of Maxwell equations for the case of isotropic homogeneous medium without the dispersion, which generalizes the traditional formulation of Hertz-Heaviside for the same case. Are given Maxwell equations in the integral and differential forms in the idea of Hertz-Heaviside and in the transcoordinate idea
The issue of gender misrepresentation and stereotyping still occupies center stage in social science discourse across cultures, though at varying degrees, and the mass media being strong tools for shaping government policies and public opinion have become an area of focus in this regard. The expectation is that a fair or balanced gender representation in the mass media is capable of addressing, perhaps to a large extent, the seemingly nagging issue of gender misrepresentation and stereotyping. This is a content analysis study of four selected newspapers in Nigeria with a view to ascertain the ratio of male-female representation in editorial and reportorial capacities in newspaper journalism. The findings revealed that there is a huge male domination at both editorial and reportorial levels in the newspapers studied irrespective of the observed high number of female enrollments at mass communication and journalism schools in the country and across the world. Consequently, the study suggested an empirical enquiry into the reasons for the yawning gap between the high number of female mass communication/ journalism graduates in the country and the number of female professional journalists, and also why the few who practice professional journalism do not advance to the top as their male counterparts do.
The aim of this report to analysis critical evaluation of the history of development, analysis of the financial performance in last two years and critical evaluation of “Balanced Scorecard” to analyse Kier Group plc’s performance. This study closely calculate financial performance for Kier group and compared with comparative company Barratt Plc during 2010 to 2011. As well as the report evaluate Balanced Scorecard. The report for Kier group plc is that the share price, revenue and dividend per share increased in the past two years resulting in increasing revenue from the construction division. Kier increased profit in the last two years and increased a dividend which is a good indication for growth in market share. However the credit crunch, current financial crisis and falling house prices have affected both the property division and have hit their competitor company Barratt plc very hard. Revenue has not increased in last two years plus stock turnover increased sharply. However Barratt Developments can’t survive according to the Z analysis results from appendix 11, but Kier Group is in a better financial position, because Kier has specialised in building and civil engineering, support services, public and private house building property developments and the private finance initiative.
The concept of scalar-vector potential, the assuming dependence of the scalar potential of charge and it pour on from the speed it made possible to explain a whole series of the phenomena, connected with the motion of charge, which earlier in the classical electrodynamics an explanation did not have. Such phenomena include the phase aberration of electromagnetic waves, the transverse Doppler effect, the phenomenon of Lorentz force. In this article the new law of electro-electrical induction, which explains nature of dipole emission, will be examined on the basis of the concept of scalar- vector potential
In this study, a sensitive electrochemical voltammetry method for the analysis of p-anisidine (pA) using a carbon paste electrochemical (CPE) modified with a porous material, such as natural phosphate (NP), was proposed. p-anisidine strongly adsorbed on a electrode surface and prepared electrode NP-CPE provides easy methods for electrochemical quantitative electro-p-anisidine. Operational parameters have been optimized, and performance voltammetric stripping was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The current intensity peaks are very linear, with good sensitivity NP- CPE.
Oligotropic waters of Andaman and Nicobar archipelago harbor a rich diversity of faunal communities.Scleractinian corals are recorded from this group of islands are highly diverse in comparison with the other reef areas of India. Five species of hermatypic corals viz. Acroporalovelli Veron and Wallace, 1984 and Acropora willisae Veron and Wallace, 1984 belonging to Acroporidae family, Myceto- phyllia lamarckiana Milne Edwards and Haime, 1848 and Isophylliasinuosa (Ellis and Solander, 1786)under Mussidae family and Porites cumulates Nemenzo, 1955 of Poritidae family are recorded for the first time in Indian waters from Andaman group of islands. The range distribution of this five species increases the Indian scleractinian database upto 611 species,of which 579 species from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The present paper dealt with the morphological characteristics of these four newly recorded species of scleractinians with their distribution and conservational status.
African oil bean seed is an under-utilized leguminous crop planted mainly as shade tree and condiment. The seed contains considerable amount of oil which if extracted will serve as alternative vegetable oil and also boost the economic status of the crop. The main objective of this study was to study the effect of operating parameters on the mechanical oil expression. Operating parameters considered include heating temperature (50, 70, 90, 110 and 1300C), heating time (5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes) and moisture content (8, 10 and 12 % dry basis).A total of 75 experiments were carried out and the maximum oil yield expressed from 500g of seed was 52.3% which translates to an expression efficiency of 86.8% (achieved at seed moisture content 10%db, 15 min heating duration and 900C heating temperature), minimum oil yield for the same quantity of seed was 25.6% (42.4% expression efficiency, achieved at 500C heating temperature, 12% moisture content dry basis and 5 minutes heating time) while the mean oil yield was 36.2% (59.9% expression efficiency of the raw material, at 1300C heating temperature, 20 minutes heating time and 12% moisture content dry basis). It was discovered that operating parameters had significant effect on the yield oil. Regression model was developed to predict the oil yield at known operating parameters.
