With the fast expansion of multimedia technologies, the compression of multimedia data has become an important aspect. Image compression is important for efficient storage and transmission of images. The limitation in bandwidth of wireless channels has made data compression a necessity. Wireless channels are bandwidth limited and due to this constraint of wireless channels, progressive image transmission has gained much popularity and acceptance. The Embedded Zerotree Wavelet algorithm (EZW) is based on progressive encoding, in which bits in the bit stream are generated in order of importance. The EZW algorithm, code all the frequency band of wavelet coefficients as the same importance without considering the amount of information in each frequency band. This paper presents an enhanced wavelet based approach to overcome the limitation of the Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (EZW) algorithm. This method divides the image into some sub-blocks.
Textural patterns can often be used to recognize familiar objects in an image or retrieve images with similar texture from a database. Texture patterns can provide significant and abundance of texture and shape information. One of the recent significant and important texture features called Texton represents the various patterns of image which is useful in texture analysis. The present paper is an extension of our previous paper [1]. The present paper divides the 3 × 3 neighbourhood into two different 2 × 2 neighbourhood grids each consist four pixels. On this 2 × 2 grids shape descriptor indexes (SDI) are evaluated separately and added to form a Total Shape Descriptor Index Image (TSDI). By deriving textons on TSDI image Total Texton Shape Matrix (TTSM) image is formed and Grey Level Co-Occurence Matrix (GLCM) parameters are derived on it for efficient texture discrimination. The experimental result shows the efficacy of the present method
Vietnam has strongly potental to produce variety of fruits such as lychee. However, it lack of a study considering about its competitiveness. Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) has been introduced in Bac Giang province since 2008 as pilot area in Vietnam. It is important to know how the VietGAP could promote lychee industry.The estimated Resource Cost Ratios (RCR) from the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) showed that Bac Giang province had comparative and competitive advantages. Lychee production with high adoption of VietGAP also had higher comparative and competitive advantages than that with low adoption of VietGAP. Results of the sensitivity analysis indicated that the world price of lychee, lychee yield, and official exchange rate have positive effect on the lychee industry competitiveness while the labor costs, input prices, and interest on capital have negative effect.
The objective of this research is to examine the association between IT resources and profit performance in the Jordanian Banking Sector. The researchers chose survey methods. The advantage of using surveys is the ability to calculate nonparameter variables; and this method is considered the most appropriate for this study. Three variables are explored. The dependent variable is bank performance. The independent variable is IT resources (levels), and the control variable is bank assets and IT size. The results of this study were classified according to the sequence of questions and assumptions as follows: There is positive and statistical significance at the level (α = 0.05) between the performance of Jordanian banks and each IT level. There were statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) between the mean responses of a sample study on the application of IT in Jordanian banks, attributed to variable size (assets) and in favour of assets (large). There were statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05), between the mean responses of the study sample, attributable to the asset size variable and in favour of large assets. There are significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between the mean responses of the study sample, attributed to the variable ITI and the proportion of ITI. This analysis seemingly demonstrates that Staff developing should be in line with the development and modernisation of technology. All technological means that enhance the service experience of customers should be adopted because they raise the level of satisfaction with banking services. Updating IT infrastructure in banks will reflect positively on performance.
This article innovatively elaborates on two entirely useful and harmful angles of science education in building growing economy nationally and globally. Static economy-demolishing schooling versus accountable and moral economy-flourishing mentorship is delineated from a science edification philosophy. Generating moral figures and perceptions from scientific and educational discoveries must be globally pursued. This is key to maintaining an expanding nature for science-founded economy and to establishing national and international peace and prosperity.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the total antioxidant capacity of different Moroccan olive kernel samples by the electrochemical methods. The paper presents the preparation and characterization of the H2O2 amperometric sensor and its utilization for antioxidant evaluation of some real olive oil samples from different regions of Morocco. The obtained results were found in good correlation with reality. The analytical calibration graph was recorded for H2O2 species. This method was used for determine the antioxidant capacity of olive kernel, obtaining results consistent with their phenol profiles.

Main statements of inter-cortical osteotomy technique of the alveolar crest with its horizontal atrophy are envisioned. Criteria for patient selection for the technique utilization are presented. Some aspect of prophylaxis against postoperative adverse effects and complications are discussed.
In the past century, colorectal surgeons considered a cleansed and empty bowel, a pre-requisite for a safe colonic and rectal resection and anastomosis.Also during this period,acute left colonic obstruction in an unprepared colon, could only be resected and primarily anastomosed if a proximal diverting colostomy was instituted.Tradition has held that an unprepared colon, poses an unacceptable high rate of failure of the anastomosis to heal.But recent evidence from Europe and other centres of the world have proven this surgical dogma to be incorrect.The purpose of this study is to report our experience with a single-staged resection and primary anastomosis of acute left colonic obstruction, without bowel preparation or a diverting colostomy.
The article examines the impact of eastern galega on some indicators of composition and properties of podzolic soils in the conditions of the middle taiga of Western Siberia. It is shown that in the early stages of development of eastern galega is depleted soil organic matter and some deterioration of its properties, but in the future restoration of soil trend indicators. Especially intensively these processes are at sowing galega east under cover of peas and in the application of microbiological preparation Baikal-EM1.
