This study investigated theperception of teachers on the influence of peace education in the south-west Nigerian secondary schools and determined if peace education in secondary schools has any positive effect on students. The study also ascertained whether there was difference in the perception of male and female teachers on the influence of peace education on Nigerian secondary schools. There is no doubt that there is problem of peace in Nigeria and several efforts had been made towards making peace a reality. Therefore, catching them young is very vital to our educational system through somesubjects inthe school curriculum. The sample of this study consists of twenty schools from the south-west, Nigeria. Questionnaire wasused to collect data on the perception of teachers on the influence of peace education in secondary schools.
Hydrodynamics of fluidized bed is a noteworthy factor in manipulating and analyzing the characteristics of fluidized bed. Minimum fluidization velocity is noteworthy parameter for analyzing the distinctiveness of fluidized bed. Comparison was being done on different Geldart’s particles group B (local sand) and A (rice husk) materials having densities of 1490 kg/m3 and 567 kg/m3 and same particles sizes i-e 149 μm. In this study different height to diameter (aspect) ratios were used H/D= 0.8, 1, 1.1 along with different tubes banks of two geometries inline assembly and staggered assembly. Diameter of tubes considered to be 1.2” to understand the behavior of minimum fluidization velocity by using these tube banks inside the bed and hydrodynamic parameters were resolute for these three aspect ratios and tube banks assemblies by measuring pressure drop experimentally and theoretically by using Ergun equation. Minimum fluidization velocity reduces by using tubes inside the bed furthermore, fluidization velocity achieves earlier in triangular pitch arrangement of tubes than in square pitch.
Perhaps, the fact that Nigeria was artificially created explains why inter-relations between different ethnic and cultural groups in most of the major cities in the country is characterized by constant discord. In Jos, the capital of Plateau state for example, the relation between the Hausa and Birom has for long been characterized by hostilities. In Kano, Hausa and Igbo relations has most of the time than not been that of suspicion and antagonism. This same story of hostile inter-relation characterized Yoruba-Hausa relations in Lagos and Ibadan. However, the situation in Gusau (our area of study), in the present Zamfara State has been different since the early years of the Yoruba settlement in the town. The indigenous Hausa communities have been co-existing cordially with the Yoruba migrant to the extent of close marital and strong economic inter-dependence.
As there is an enormous difference between the generations, due to the internet phenomenon, and the adolescent way of life, I analyze in this paper the consequences on the education. According to the UNESCO recommendations, education must be the challenge of the 21th Century and we have to invent a new school. This will be the object of our enquiry.
The present dissertation “The influence of English Language on Developing Gendered Perception” investigates the possible bias of gender in English language and proposes that English language is not a neutral and transparent means of reflecting the reality. Research in this field has not been undertaken with respect to the non-native English speaker. The present quantitative study aimed to explore if the same argument applies in the case of non-native speakers of English. The study was conducted in SBK Women’s University Quetta Baluchistan. Researcher selected 20 participants through convenience sampling.. The results were statistically significant and provided support for the hypothesis that generic he and man elicit inappropriate number of male images and validated Sapir-Whorf hypothesis which served as a theoretical foundation for the present study. Results also suggested that he/she and human function as generic pronouns. Future research should modify the research design, taking into account the limitation of the study
This study is based on calculation of standard minute value of Polo-shirt. An experimental investigation for the distribution of SMV for each and every operation require for making a Polo-shirt and provides a clear and details concepts for determining line balancing, machine requirements, man power allocation for setting a definite target within a reasonable efficiency. This study is a details discussion and distribution of SMV which will assist to minimize SMV by having a better synchronization with man, machine, materials and methods to achieve higher efficiency.
The paper devotes the proximity control for linear features that will apply for ship control in closed approach. In nautical practice of Vietnam, the ship has been encountered in the special situations, such as: coming approach ship to ship, ship to floating object, ship to mobile object... In order to solve this issue, the author presents his researches about task of the problem of the regulator of the optimal time; also he gives the solution of the problem of time-optimal controller for a linear system with constant parameters. Accordingly, the result is applied to design and create a control system to ensure the meeting of movements of ships.
In an age of cyber technology with it fast pacing and ever evolving, securing data in cyber space is a major enigmawhich needs to be resolved. With vulnerabilities everywhere, data security and privacy is always at risk. This specially comes in play when services of third party are used knowingly or unknowingly. Government and business organizations are testing and implementing security and monitoring techniques to stand a better chance in raging war against cyber-crimes. Moreover, the formulation of new methods also poses new limitations of the systems as well as the users like lack of efficiency or complexity which need to be resolved in order to get better results. In this research paper some of those limitations and their solutions are discussed.
This paper aims at advancing empirical evidences on financial factors determining systemic risk in the pre-emerging stock market of Nepal as well as to identify whether preemerging stock market and developed and emerging stock markets exposed to the same financial factors that determine systemic risk. A priori hypothesis between relationship of the company-specific financial factors and systemic risk are set based on theoretical framework and previous studies, and tested on the data from 15 listed companies covering a 5-year period, 2009 to 2013. All regular dividend paying and actively traded companies are selected. Based on cross-sectional approach it is revealed that size and profitability are positively associated with the systemic risk, while the dividend payment is negatively related to the risk. The results thus indicate that financial factors have significant predictive power for the systemic risk of a stock investment in Nepal.
